Police Searching for Male Suspect in Connection With 2022 Homicide

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in August 2022.

Authorities stated that on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at about 9:30 PM, a 26-year-old male was shot and killed in the 3100 block of Rorer Street. A second victim sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds during the incident as well. The suspect was known to frequent the area of G & Willard Streets near Allegheny Avenue and is described as a black male of average height and weight, with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a distinct design on the chest, grey shorts with a large white “NIKE” swoosh symbol on the left leg, and black athletic shoes.
