Police Search for Suspect in ‘Smash and Grab’ Burglary

EAST LANSDOWNE, PA — Police are searching for a suspect they believe committed a smash and grab burglary in East Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Authorities with the East Lansdowne Police Department state that on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at approximately 11:51 AM, officers were dispatched to the ‘Leuzzis Foreign Car Center’ located at 756 Long Lane, East Lansdowne for a report of a burglary in progress. The caller was not on site but watching the burglary via their cell phone app security camera system. While police were en route, the perpetrator fled the area and was gone upon the arrival of officers.

Police say that a review of the security camera system reveals a black male, wearing a gray hoodie with black and white stripe jogging pants who backed a Silver 2005-2007 Buick Terraza minivan into the bay service door smashing it open. The perpetrator then entered the business and removed car keys for several BMW, Mercedes and Range Rover vehicles. The perpetrator then fled the area in the same minivan.
