Police Release Info on Suspect Wanted in Brazen Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police have released video of a suspect who is wanted for opening fire on Cecil B Moore Ave. in Philadelphia, placing one victim in the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Authorities state that on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at approximately 2:00 pm, Police responded to a report of gunshots on the highway on the 22xx Cecil B Moore Ave. Upon Police arrival, Police found below victim on the roadway with 4 gunshot wounds, two gunshots in the stomach area, and two gunshots in the right hand.

Police transported the victim to Temple Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts the suspect pulling up in a Nissan Maxima and walking up to the victim, a 23-year-old male, and shooting him. The suspect then fled the area.

  • Suspect Description: Black male, thin build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words “Venom” and “Lethal Protector” on the back with a multi-color graphic, black jeans and white sneakers.
  • Vehicle Description: Nissan Maxima with a sunroof, tinted windows, damage on the passenger side doors and bearing a PA Temp tag #3601-049
