Police on High Alert as Armed Suspect Abducts Man and Plunders Home

UPPER MORELAND, PA — The Upper Moreland Township Police Department is on high alert while searching for an armed suspect who abducted a man and forced him into his home.

Detective Vince Small states that on June 1, 2023, at 5:45 am, an employee of a business on Turnpike Drive was spending his break in his vehicle. A male armed with a handgun entered the backseat of his vehicle. The perpetrator robbed the victim of his phone and wallet. At gunpoint, the perpetrator then instructed the victim to drive to his residence in Philadelphia, where the suspect entered the home, took money and belongings from the victim’s family members, and left on foot.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, white or Hispanic, and around 5’6″. The male was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a surgical mask.
