PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are investigating two sexual assaults that occurred just days apart.
The first attack happened on August 7th, when a 20-year-old woman was assaulted near the Septa station at 19th and Market. The second assault took place on August 3rd to a 17-year-old-female victim at 1401 JFK West Plaza. In both cases, the suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and followed their victims before assaulting them.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, approximately 5’11” tall with a thin build. He has a dark complexion and beard, and is wearing a tan “NASA” hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
If you see this suspect, do not approach him. Instead, call 911 immediately. You can also submit a tip by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477) or contacting Philadelphia’s Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251 or 215-685-3252. Det. Poulos is leading the investigation.
