Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — In the early evening hours of June 17th, 2022, a shooting incident occurred in Southwest Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the perpetrator.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows that the suspect walked by a blue Dodge Charger before turning around and firing one shot into the windshield. The car then fled the scene. There were two people inside at the time of the shooting, but thankfully no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, 5’8” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a green Eagles “Underdog” t-shirt, jeans, and multicolored sneakers. He is armed with a semiautomatic handgun and should be considered dangerous.
