Police Investigate Robbery at Wilmington Drive-thru ATM

WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police announced the launch of an investigation into a robbery that took place on Monday at a drive-thru ATM located outside a bank in the Wilmington area.

Detectives say that on May 8, 2023, at approximately 5:17 p.m., troopers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2024 Naamans Road, Wilmington for a reported robbery at the atm. The initial investigation revealed two male suspects approached a 58-year-old male victim who was servicing the atm. The suspects forced the victim to the ground and bound his wrists with zip ties. After subduing the victim, the suspects demanded money from the atm. The victim complied, and the suspects were able to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The two male suspects escaped in a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer. They abandoned the vehicle in a nearby parking lot situated at the Cliff House Condominiums and then proceeded to flee the scene via another dark-colored vehicle. Both suspects were estimated to be between 20-30 years of age, roughly 5’11” in height, weighing 180-200 lbs. They were attired in dark clothing and hidden behind masks.
