EPHRATA, PA — The Ephrata Police Department announced they are investigating the passing of counterfeit $100 bills at the Walmart located at 890 E Main St in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Authorities state that Police were called to the Ephrata Walmart on March 7, 2022. Walmart staff reported that two men had come into the store and represented fraudulent $100 bills as real. One of the men “purchased” two computers with the fake cash. The other attempted to purchase air pods but was foiled by an alert cashier. Both men left the property together. The total loss was $1000.00. The bills are in police custody.
