Police Capture Wanted Juvenile at Centerville Square Shopping Center

LANCASTER, PA — The East Hempfield Township Police Department announced that on the morning of March 7, 2023, they had captured a wanted juvenile at the Centerville Square Shopping Center.

Authorities stated that the 15-year-old male had been wanted on outstanding juvenile charges by another Lancaster County police department. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to confirm the juvenile’s identity. The necessary precautionary measures were taken for Giant employees and shoppers, and the juvenile was eventually located inside a bathroom in the Giant Foods Store located at 550 Centerville Rd. He was taken into custody without incident.

The East Hempfield Township Police were assisted at the scene by officers from the West Hempfield Township and Manor Township police departments. Officials stated that they had no further comment due to their department not being the investigating agency for the charges filed against this juvenile.
