WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a juvenile on gun charges.
Authorities state that on July 23 at approximately 11:26 a.m. police were in the 1200 block of Wilson Street, Wilmington when they observed a 14-year-old male juvenile acting in a suspicious manner. When police attempted to make contact with him, he fled on foot. He was taken into custody a short time later without incident and police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun that was reported stolen.
The 14-year-old was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
- Resisting Arrest
The juvenille was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $14,200 secured bail.
