PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking to locate a male suspect wanted in connection to a burglary and nonfatal shooting that occurred earlier this month.

Authorities state that on July 8, 2021, at approximately 3:30 am, the victim, a 30-year-old female, was asleep in her residence when she awoke to her dogs barking. The witness then heard noises coming from the first floor and alerted her husband, a 30 year-old-male, to what was taking place. When the 30-year-old male went to see who was inside the suspect had already fled.

Upon reviewing surveillance video, it was believed the suspect that had just been inside of the residence was the same male from a prior burglary. The complainant and witness attempted to locate the suspect on the 1800 block of E Hagert Street and attempted to confront him. While fleeing from the complainant the suspect fired one shot at the complainant. The witness and complainant then returned to their residence to wait for the police.

If you have any information about this crime or this suspect please contact Det. Fred #764 of the Philadelphia Police Department’s East Detective Division at 215-686-3243/3244, reference DC 21-26-023317.
