PHILADELPHIA, PA — If you were in the area of 50th Street and Haverford Avenue on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 9:50 PM, the Philadelphia Police Department would like to speak with you. That was when a critical hit-and-run occurred that left a pedestrian with critical injuries.
A dark-colored vehicle – possibly a Nissan – with tinted windows struck four pedestrians who were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. Two children, ages 13 and 3, were among the victims, and both sustained bruises and abrasions. An adult victim, a 29-year-old woman, also sustained a major injury to her left leg. Medics transported the victims to Presbyterian Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, respectively. The striking vehicle was last seen fleeing the scene westbound on Haverford Avenue.
