Philadelphia Police Seek Information on Suspect in Ogontz Avenue Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking information regarding a shooting that occurred on November 19, 2023, outside of 7610 Ogontz Ave. The victim, a 35-year-old black male, was shot by an unknown suspect following a brief argument.

According to police reports, the suspect arrived at the scene in a black or dark blue Cadillac CTS sedan and exited the passenger side before encountering the victim. After the incident, the suspect was picked up by the same vehicle on the 2400 block of W. 76th Ave.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’5″, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black “North Face” coat with a hood, a black face mask, black pants, and black and gray “New Balance” sneakers.

The vehicle involved in the incident is described as a black or dark blue Cadillac CTS four-door sedan. It has tinted windows, a moon roof, chrome window, lower door trim, chrome wheels, and an unknown PA license plate.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone who sees the suspect or the vehicle not to approach but to contact 911 immediately. Tips can be submitted via telephone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting a tip to the same number. All tips will be confidential.
