Philadelphia Police Release Surveillance Video of Suspect in Attack on Business Employee

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attack on a business employee.

Authorities stated that on the morning of November 25, 2022, an employee opened a business on the 2700 block of N 5th St in Philadelphia when an unknown male approached and stated in Spanish that he was looking forward to playing a video game within the store. But once inside, the suspect used physical force and a hammer from his waistband to make his demands known: money. The employee reluctantly opened the register for the suspect who then took an unidentified amount of money before fleeing on foot with haste. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained by the employee other than inflicting a bruise with the hammer.

Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect in hopes that someone will be able to identify him. If you have any information about this man’s identity or whereabouts, please contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).

Information is subject to change at any time as additional details may emerge. Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
