Philadelphia Police Investigating Theft of Stolen Gun in Overbrook Section

PHILADELPHIA, PAPhiladelphia Police are investigating a theft of a registered firearm that occurred on the 7200 block of Haverford Avenue on July 21st, 2022.

According to investigators, a man parked his truck and entered a nearby comer store when a female suspect, accompanied by a male, entered the vehicle and stole a black book bag containing the firearm, cash, jewelry and various ID and bank cards. The suspects then fled eastbound on foot along Haverford Avenue. The firearm is a chrome and black .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun.

Both suspects were captured on surveillance video. Philadelphia Police are asking anyone with any information about this crime or these suspects to please contact Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183 or call 911.
