PHILADELPHIA, PA — In the early hours of Wednesday, September 27, 2023, an audacious burglary took place at Fairmount Pharmacy, located at 1900 Green Street. The Philadelphia Police Department has reported that a large group of unidentified individuals forced their way into the establishment around 2:50 a.m., making off with cash, merchandise, and prescription medications worth an estimated total of $44,000.
The suspects reportedly arrived and fled the scene using several vehicles, as shown in video clips released by the Central Detective Division. The police department is now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
Following the incident, the Fairmount Pharmacy suffered significant losses, both material and financial. The stolen prescription medications add an additional layer of concern, potentially posing public health risks if misused or improperly distributed.
The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information about this crime or the identities of the suspects to come forward. However, they caution against approaching the suspects and advise anyone who encounters them to contact 911 immediately.
