The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that pipe replacements are scheduled on several state highways in Montgomery County on Tuesday, May 17, through Wednesday, May 31, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as part of a project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
The work locations are:
- Wynnewood Road between Athens Avenue and Argyle Road in Lower Merion Township;
- Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Anderson Road and Forge Springs Way in Upper Merion Township;
- Church Road between Gulph Ridge Drive and Brandenburg Way in Upper Merion Township;Â and
- Cheltenham Avenue between Paper Mill Road and Cromwell Road in Springfield Township.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100% state funds.
