WYOMISSING, PA — PENN Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq: PENN) has announced a strategic partnership with Quail Hollow Club and the Wells Fargo Championship, marking a significant step towards the launch of regulated online sports wagering in North Carolina.
The multi-faceted, long-term partnership will see PENN secure market access for its online sports wagering platform, ESPN BET, in North Carolina, subject to regulatory approvals. The Wells Fargo Championship, a PGA TOUR Signature Event held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., will also see ESPN BET become its exclusive official betting operator.
As part of the agreement, ESPN BET will gain access to various marketing integrations, including on-site fan engagement opportunities during the tournament.
