Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Speeding SUV in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police announced the investigation of a fatal hit and run.

In the early evening hours of Sunday, January 22, 2023, a tragic auto vs. pedestrian accident occurred in Philadelphia that would leave one woman dead. 43-year-old Savon So was crossing Oregon Avenue at 600 Oregon Ave when she was fatally struck by an unknown silver SUV traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been apprehended.
