WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 18-year-old Demarr Wright-Robinson and 19-year-old Keevis Wilkerson of Newark and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
Authorities stated that on February 13 at approximately 10:09 a.m., a police officer on patrol observed an occupied stolen vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, but was located moments later in the area of Terminal Avenue and the I-495 entrance ramp. Two suspects – 18-year-old Demarr Wright-Robinson and 19-year-old Keevis Wilkerson of Newark – fled from the vehicle but were quickly taken into custody without incident.
Wright-Robinson has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $3,550 secured bail.
Wilkerson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $5,000 secured bail.
