Newark Man Arrested for Carrying a Concealed Weapon in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a Newark man on a gun charge.

Authorities state that on October 13, at approximately 7:11 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue when they made contact with 27-year-old Ronald Scotton of Newark. Following a brief investigation, police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun. Police took Scotton into custody without incident.

Scotton was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $3,000 secured bail.
