Newark Man Arrested After Traffic Stop, Loaded Handgun Recovered

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a wanted Newark man on gun charges.

Authorities stated that on January 4 at approximately 4:20 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Street Crimes Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the 2100 block of Jessup Street.  Police made contact with the operator, 24-year-old K’nas Reves of Newark.  Reves was found to have outstanding capias for his arrest.  He was taken into custody and police recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun.

Reves was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon in addition to several traffic violations and his outstanding capias.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 n and released after posting $5,003 secured bail.
