Muffler Stolen from Vehicle Parked at Penn Towne Center

PENN TWP, PA — Northern Lancaster County Regional Police say they are investigating the theft of a muffler from a vehicle parked at the Penn Towne Center, located at 1227 Lancaster Road.

Authorities state that on June 11, 2022, while on patrol, officers were approached by the victim, who reported his muffler was stolen from his vehicle the day prior. The victim stated that he was working at a venue in the area of 1201 Lancaster Road, from approximately 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on June 10, 2022. The victim said when he started his vehicle after completing his work shift, he noticed that it was louder than earlier in the day. The victim confirmed his Cherry Bomb Performance Muffler, which had been clamped onto his exhaust system, had been removed from his vehicle. The estimated the value of the muffler is approximately $40.00.

Considering the nature of this theft, the potential exists that the thief stole what they believed to be a catalytic converter only to later discover they had a muffler.
