WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 19-year-old Alexis Cathcart and 27-year-old Dashawn Daley following a drug investigation.
Authorities stated that on January 26 at approximately 11:08 a.m., members of Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division along with members of the Street Crimes Unit, Canine Unit and Uniformed Services Division executed a search warrant in the unit block of East 30th Street in reference to a drug investigation. Police reportedly recovered 41.5 grams of methamphetamine, 12 Adderall pills, 12.5 grams of marijuana, 1 MDMA pill, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $1,027 in currency.
Officers took Alexis Cathcart and Dashawn Daley into custody without incident.
Alexis Cathcart has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $40,700 secured bail.
Daley has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $45,700 cash-only bail.
