The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that beam repairs are scheduled on the Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) bridge over Matsonford Road in Upper Merion and Lower Merion townships, Montgomery County.
The work schedule and location are:
- Monday, March 20, through early April, a weeknight road closure is scheduled from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning on Matsonford Road between Hillside Avenue and the southbound Interstate 476 Interchange.
During the closure, Matsonford Road motorists will be directed to use Route 320 (Montgomery Avenue/South Gulph Road/Trinity Lane/Holstein Road/ Swedeland Road) and Route 23 (Front Street).
In addition, Route 320 motorists will have ramp access to southbound I-476, while ramps to northbound I-476 and westbound I-76 will be accessed from Route 23 (Front Street).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
