WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of five men following assault and burglary incidents.
Authorities stated that on February 12 at approximately 6:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sixth Avenue in reference to an alleged assault and criminal mischief incident that had occurred. Officers located the victim, a 23-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries. A short time later, police were also dispatched to the 1800 block of West 7th Street in reference to an altercation inside of a residence. Police determined that the altercation followed a burglary at that location, and the suspects were known to each other.
Several of the suspects were injured during the altercation, and were treated and released from a local hospital.
Police took five suspects into custody in reference to these related incidents.
Erik Mora-Alanis, 23, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Assault (Second Degree)
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,000 – Two Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $46,100 secured bail.
Pablo Moreno, 33, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Assault (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $22,500 secured bail.
Celerino Garcia, 26, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (Third Degree)
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,000
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after being held on $2,000 bail.
Miguel Gonzalez, 26, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Assault (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $22,500 secured bail.
Andres Reyes, 25, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (First Degree)
- Assault (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $22,500 secured bail.
