WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
Authorities state that on September 30 at approximately 4:43 p.m. members of the Street Crimes Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the 2400 block of Bowers Street. Police made contact with a passenger, 28-year-old Malik Pritchett. Following a brief investigation, police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 2 Alprazolam pills. Police took Pritchett into custody without incident.
Pritchett was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Breach of Release
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $42,000 cash-only bail.
