PLUMSTEAD TWP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department has arrested 37-year-old Jeremy Hynds on Corruption of Minors and related charges stemming from an incident that had occurred at the Plumsteadville Wawa.

Authorities state that on May 20, 2022, an individual from an organization called predator poachers came to the station to report that he was on a social networking site when he was sexually solicited by Hynds. The male said that he was solicited by Hynds after telling him that he was 13 years old and in 7th grade. Hynds repeatedly requested to meet up with him and perform sexual acts. When Hynds agreed to meet, he found that he was communicating with an adult male and not a 13-year-old.

Hynds was apprehended on June 16, 2022, and charged with the following offenses:

  • Corruption of Minors
  • Unlawful Contact
