WILMINGTON, DE — A local man has been arrested in connection to an in-progress burglary, say Wilmington Police.
Devearl Bacon. age 53, has been charged with Burglary (Third Degree), Resisting Arrest, and Hindering Prosecution.
The criminal complaint alleges that on August 30, at approximately 12:43 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to 1430 New York Avenue, in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect fleeing on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, 53-year-old Devearl Bacon was taken into custody without incident.
Bacon was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $4,000 secured bail.
