WILMINGTON, DE — A local man has been arrested in connection to a June shots fired incident.

Wilmington Police have charged 19-year-old Jyair Gordan with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, four counts of Reckless Endangering, and two counts of Criminal Mischief.

The criminal complaint alleges that on June 10, at approximately 4:56 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the area of West 25th and North West Streets, in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Wham of the Criminal Investigations Division.

Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wham identified 19-year-old Jyair Gordan as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. Gordon was taken into custody in Pennsylvania on an unrelated matter and extradited to Delaware on August 10.

Gordon was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $34,200 cash-only bail.
