Man Arrested for Burglary and Criminal Mischief at Dunkin Donuts

LANCASTER, PA — Manheim Township Police Department announced the recent arrest of 42-year-old Donald Thomas Wise of Willow Street, Pennsylvania on charges of Burglary and Criminal Mischief Arrest in connection to an incident at the Dunkin Donuts located at 1242 Lititz Pk.

Authorities stated that on January 8, 2023, it was reported that two employees had arrived for work and discovered that the glass was smashed out of the entrance door. Officers arrived and reviewed the video surveillance footage and found that a single male, driving what appeared to be a dark green SUV broke in and stole two (2) cash drawers and a safe. The total amount of money stolen during the burglary was determined to be $2,770.23.

Photographs of the vehicle, from another camera’s footage, were obtained and it was observed that there was a small rectangular light affixed to the middle of the front bumper. A search was performed and the registration of the vehicle was learned.  Additional searches and observations were done including the review of a 911 call. Upon examination of this footage, Donald Wise is reportedly seen as well as his green SUV parked in the driveway. The call detail records, with cell site location information, for Wise’s telephone number, were received and it found that Wise’s device was using cell site locations consistent with the area of Dunkin Donuts around the time of the burglary.

A criminal complaint was filed on February 9, 2023. Donald Thomas Wise was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Heiss and committed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
