LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that utility work will continue on Route 23 (Marietta Avenue) in E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. The work limits are from Stony Battery Road (Route 3017) to Centerville Road.

Water line relocation began on Wednesday, July 26. This work is expected to continue from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday for approximately six more weeks.

There will be the potential for lane shifts and lane closures, as needed, during work hours. This could cause major delays. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
