Lower Moreland Police Charge Woman with Identity Theft, Forgery

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Lower Moreland Township Police have arrested a woman on Identity Theft, Forgery and additional charges.

Authorities state that on Thursday, September 23, 2021, officers responded to a TD Bank, on Philmont Avenue, , Huntingdon Valley for a fraud in progress. Amber Malinowski was arrested while in the act of attempting to obtain money from a bank account using a fraudulent/altered check written out to her. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to Lower Moreland Township Police Department where she was processed and was also found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Malinowski was charged with the following offenses:

  • (2) Count of Forgery
  • (2) Counts of Access Device Fraud
  • (1) Count of Identity Theft
  • (1) Count of Theft by Deception – False Impression
  • (1) Possess Access Device Knowing Counterfeit Altered
  • (2) Counts of Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
