Local Man Arrested After Heroin, Cash Found in Home

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 26-year-old Tavon White on drug charges.

Authorities stated that on February 15 at approximately 9:47 a.m., members of Wilmington’s Safe Streets Task Force conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1300 block of East 28th Street, on a subject wanted for unrelated charges. Police made contact with 26-year-old Tavon White, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers subsequently conducted a search warrant in the Unit block of Courtyard Lane, and recovered 1.36 grams of heroin, and $2,472.

White has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of Marijuana

He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $2,600 secured bail.
