PHILADELPHIA, PA — Overnight construction activities next week are expected to reduce Interstate 95 from three lanes to two lanes in each direction through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) ongoing permanent reconstruction project at the Cottman Avenue Interchange in Northeast Philadelphia.
On Tuesday, September 19, through Thursday, September 21, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 at the Cottman Avenue Interchange for bridge reconstruction.
Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
