Lancaster City Police Investigate Afternoon Gunfire Incident on East Chestnut Street

LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster City Bureau of Police is currently investigating an incident involving gunfire that took place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:18 p.m., following a report of shots fired in the 600 block of East Chestnut Street.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered evidence of a shooting. An unoccupied vehicle had been struck by the gunfire, highlighting the potential danger of the incident. Thankfully, no citizens were reported to be harmed as a result of the gunfire.
