Lancaster City Police Charge Two Males With Homicide, One in Custody

LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Bureau of Police announced charges have been filed against 22-year-old Ziair Collymore and 30-year-old Jerbrell Westmoreland, both of Lancaster, in connection with a 2022 Homicide.

Authorities stated that o November 28, 2022, at 1:11 a.m., officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred at 145 S. Prince St., Lancaster City, PA. Upon arriving, officers located two adult male victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the males, identified as Luis Sanchez, was later pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries from the shooting.  Lancaster City Bureau of Police Detectives responded and began an investigation into the shooting.  In the weeks following the homicide, Detectives reviewed the evidence, interviewed multiple witnesses, and reviewed video obtained from areas around the City of Lancaster.

As a result of the investigation, Detective Adam Flurry of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police charged two males, identified as Ziair Collymore, 22, of Lancaster, and Jerbrell Westmoreland, 30, of Lancaster, each with (1) count of Criminal Homicide, (1) count of Criminal Attempt Criminal Homicide, and (1) count of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Homicide before MDJ Witkonis.  In addition to the previously mentioned charges, Collymore was also charged with (1) count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and (1) count of Carrying a Firearm without a License, also before Magisterial District Judge Witkonis.

Ziair Collymore was taken into custody in the afternoon hours of February 23, 2023, at the Lancaster County Probation Office, by Lancaster City Police Detectives, along with the assistance of multiple Lancaster County Probation Officers.  The Lancaster City Bureau of Police would like to extend their gratitude to the Office of Lancaster County Probation and Parole for their assistance in safely taking Collymore into custody, without incident.  Collymore was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison, to be held without bail.

Jerbrell Westmoreland is not in custody and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Any persons with knowledge of his whereabouts are urged to call the Lancaster City Bureau of Police at 717 735-3300 to provide the information. Callers can remain anonymous.
