Knife Wielding Woman Arrested in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 19-year-old Taniah Bowden following an armed robbery.

Authorities stated that on February 7 at approximately 6:35 p.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of West 4th Street in reference to a robbery that had occurred. The female suspect – Taniah Bowden – was reportedly in possession of a knife and was detained by security prior to police arrival. Officers were able to take her into custody without incident.

Bowden has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Robbery (First Degree)
  • Terroristic Threatening

She was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $22,000 cash-only bail.
