Juvenile on the Run: 15-Year-Old Allegedly Steals Firearm

EAST PETERSBURG, PA – Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced it is investigating an incident involving a 15-year-old male who is a runaway that stole a firearm from his grandmother.

According to the press release, the juvenile offender is alleged to have stolen a loaded Ruger LCP .380 handgun from a safe located in the dwelling. The NLCRPD filed a juvenile allegation against the juvenile and contacted the Lancaster County Juvenile Probation Department. Due to age compliance requirements and failure to meet those standards, a detainer is now active for the child upon his apprehension and arrest.

The name and identifiers of the child are being withheld because of his age and the requirements of the Juvenile Act.
