Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at Lincoln West Apartments

LANCASTER, PA — West Hempfield Township Police Department and Lancaster County Detectives announced they are currently investigating a homicide that occurred on January 8, 2023, at the Lincoln West Apartments in West Hempfield Township.

Authorities stated that, upon police arrival, police discovered one deceased individual who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers questioned all witnesses on the scene and are treating this as an isolated incident. No danger is expected to the location and its occupants according to investigators.

During this process, West Hempfield Township Detectives will be collaborating with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office in order to reach a formal conclusion. As of now, the name of the deceased is not being shared with the public so as to maintain an honest investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for today as part of resolution efforts into this matter.
