I-76 Ramp Closure Scheduled for Maintenance in Montgomery County

Interstate 76

UPPER MERION TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced maintenance work in Montgomery County that will affect traffic flow. On Thursday, August 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the eastbound I-76 ramp to southbound U.S. 202 will be closed for milling and paving operations in Upper Merion Township.

During this closure, drivers will need to follow a detour. Motorists should use the U.S. 422 West/Swedesford Road Interchange, exit onto Swedesford Road, take a left on Swedesford Road, and then access the ramp to southbound U.S. 202. While local access will be maintained, officials advise travelers to plan for extra travel time due to potential delays and backups in the area. These activities depend on favorable weather conditions.
