Help Catch the Mail Thief! Philadelphia Police Release Video and Details of Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual seen in a released video clip.

Detective Parkinson with the Central Detective Division states that on May 30, 2023, at approximately 8:50 pm, the suspect gained access to an apartment building in the 300 block of Race Street. Once inside he went to the mail room, used a key to open numerous mail bins, and took pieces of mail belonging to tenants. The suspect was riding a light-colored bicycle with an orange milk crate on the back.

The suspect is a black male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt adorned with a sparkle design on the front, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
