PHILADELPHIA, PA — Harsco Environmental, a division of Enviri Corporation (NYSE: NVRI), has announced a significant multi-year services contract with Gerdau. The latter is a renowned producer of long steel products in the Americas and one of the world’s largest suppliers of specialty long steel products. This new agreement marks the first of its kind between Harsco Environmental and Gerdau in Mexico, expanding on their five-decade-long collaboration in Brazil.
Under this contract, Harsco Environmental will deliver a suite of comprehensive services at Gerdau’s Sahagun site in Hidalgo. These services include slag pot carrying, metal recovery, and slag processing, all crucial components in optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing environmental impact within the steel manufacturing process.
