Female Police Officers Wanted: Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Association Announces Upcoming Test

LANCASTER, PA — If you are a female and are interested in a career in law enforcement, the Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Associations’ hiring consortium has good news for you! They have announced their upcoming test, and the application process is now open.

This consortium is made up of the Chiefs of Police from all of the municipalities in Lancaster County, PA, and they are committed to increasing diversity within their ranks. Specifically, they are actively recruiting female candidates and candidates from underserved communities. So if you meet those qualifications, this could be your chance to launch your career in law enforcement!

 

The police force is an important institution in our society, charged with the responsibility of keeping our communities safe. As such, it is essential that the police force reflect the diversity of the communities it serves. Women have long been underrepresented in law enforcement, but they bring a unique set of skills and perspectives to the job. In this TED Talk, Chief Ivonne Roman discusses the value that female officers bring to the profession. She highlights the importance of having a workforce that is reflective of the community, and she makes a strong case for why more women should consider a career in law enforcement.

The application and hiring information can be found on the PoliceApp.com website. The deadline for applications is 11:59 pm on August 27, 2022, and the testing is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2022. There is an additional date of Sunday, September 11, 2022, available if the number of applicants surpasses the amount they can process in one day of testing.
