Fatal Hit-And-Run Involving Bicyclist in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — If you have any information about the hit-and-run that occurred on January 22, 2023, please contact the Philadelphia Police Department.

Authorities stated that at approximately 8:40 pm, an unknown person was operating a white van, possibly a Ford Econoline cargo van, east on berks Street and when turning left onto Howard Street, they struck a male bicyclist who was traveling west on Berks Street fatally injuring him. The victim was fatally injured and Medics pronounced him on location. The driver of the van did not stop and fled the scene.
