SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — This winter, the historic Pennypacker Mills invites you and your family to step back in time and embrace the holiday spirit with its free, family-friendly tours. Located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA, Pennypacker Mills is a captivating Colonial revival mansion that offers visitors an exclusive glimpse into the past.

From Tuesday, November 21, 2023, to Sunday, January 7, 2024, guests can tour the beautifully decorated mansion and learn about the traditions and celebrations of Christmas in the early 1900s. The Museum Shop will also be open, brimming with unique gifts and festive decorations.

The mansion is open for tours from Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The last tour each day begins at 3 p.m. Groups of 10 or more are asked to contact the office in advance by calling 610-287-9324. While tours are free, a suggested donation of $2 per person is appreciated.

Moreover, don’t miss the Victorian Christmas Open House happening on Saturday, December 9, 2023. From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can tour the historic mansion, enjoy holiday music performances by the Bells of Praise handbell choir and the Happy Dutchmen German Band, and witness a live demonstration of the history of clear toy candy in the mansion’s kitchen.
