LANCASTER, PA — Emerald Asset Management has announced that its 2024 Groundhog Day Investment Forum will delve into the exciting world of innovation-led investment opportunities in U.S. small-cap stocks. The event, set to take place on February 1st at The Valley Forge Sheraton and virtually, will feature a deep-dive into sector- and industry-specific opportunities.

Emerald’s analysts and portfolio managers are preparing to introduce an exclusive whitepaper titled “Innovation Starts Small,” focusing on the burgeoning Innovation Economy. The forum will also feature interactive sessions spotlighting innovation-themed investment opportunities identified by the Emerald team.

These sessions include panel discussions on innovation within various sectors such as life sciences, consumer goods, and technology. The life sciences panel will feature a presentation by TransMedics Group (TMDX – NASDAQ), while the consumer goods panel will showcase a presentation by Freshpet Inc (FRPT – NASDAQ). The technology panel will focus on the rise of artificial intelligence and highlights from the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show.

The event will also offer an ‘Ask the Analysts’ panel featuring Emerald’s full team of investment professionals, providing attendees with an opportunity to tap into their expertise.

The forum has secured Michael Moe, Founder, and CEO of growth-focused investment platform GSV, as the keynote speaker. Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity will welcome attendees to the event.

“In 2023, investors were primarily focused on the ‘Magnificent Seven’ stocks. However, at Emerald, we believe that ‘Innovation Starts Small,’” said Scott L. Rehr, CEO of Emerald. He elaborated on the company’s strategy to identify and invest in smaller growth-oriented U.S. companies that drive innovation in sectors like healthcare, technology, consumer goods, and fintech.
