Elsmere Man Charged in Connection with Wilmington Shots Fired Incident

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police announced that they have charged an Elsmere man in connection with a November shots fired incident.

Authorities state that on November 19, Wilmington Police responded to a shots fired incident, with no injuries, that took place in the 500 block of North Madison Street. Through the course of an investigation, 24-year-old Elijah Warren of Elsmere was identified as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Warren was subsequently taken into custody, and has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
  • Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (2 counts)
  • Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
  • Discharging a Firearm on a City Street

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $84,000 cash-only bail.
