Drug Bust: Wilmington Police Apprehend Suspects, Seize Weapons and Narcotics

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of two men on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

According to the criminal complaint, beginning in August, members of Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 1200 block of West 3rd Street. On August 24, at 3:20 p.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 26-year-old Tyrone Pryor and 37-year-old Antwine Witcher into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun, a loaded .32 caliber handgun, .01 grams of crack cocaine, and 0.56 grams of heroin.

Pryor has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Two Counts

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $41,000 cash-only bail.

Witcher has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,000 cash-only bail.
