WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a 31-year-old Dover man on gun charges.
Tereef Dickerson has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
The criminal complaint alleges that on June 30, at approximately 2:04 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2700 block of North Market Street, in reference to a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 31-year-old Tereef Dickerson of Dover, who was found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber handgun. Dickerson was taken into custody without incident.
Dickerson was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $30,000 cash-only bail.
